Lalita is a feisty young woman from a respectable, traditional Indian family, Mr Darcy is a charming, wealthy American abroad, when the two meet it's contempt at first sight, but this being a romantic comedy first impressions swiftly give way to mutual attraction, all be it one based on relentless verbal parry and misunderstanding. Bride and Prejudice is a contemporary Bollywood, Hollywood reworking of Pride and Prejudice, complete with dance numbers. Easy going, good-natured fluff.

All-singing, all-dancing musical extravaganza with a cast completely composed of mind-bogglingly talented children. Scott Baio is sinisterly covincing as the legendary gangster while Jodie Foster shows more than a glimmer of her Oscar-winning talent as his moll. Funny and hugely entertaining.

One of the last of the Fred Astaire Ginger Rogers song and dance extravaganzas and unusual if only because Ginger falls for Fred rather than the other way around. Irving Berlin is still the man behind the lyrics, and the chemistry between the two stars remains alive and kicking. Musical numbers include Since They Turned 'Loch Lomond' into Swing, I Used To Be Color Blind, The Night is Filled With Music, The Yam and Change Partners.
