Taken from Nick Hornby's book of the same name, the story revolves around Rob, the owner of a small indie record shop, who is obsessed by music and has successfully used it to dodge growing up and to side step any tricky emotional or relationship-based issues....unsurprisingly his long suffering girlfriend leaves him. This is a great adaption, funny, perceptive and painfully familiar, the minor characters are pin sharp, and Rob's two work colleagues are frequently in danger of stealing the film.

What the wee weird genius was up to before Adaptation and Being John Malkovich; A selection of inspired music videos for the likes of Bjork, Fat Boy Slim, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk and Notorious B.I.G. On the B side there's interviews, short stories and documentaries. You could almost pass yourself off as the man by the end of this double sided disk.
