Hollywood gives Noah's Ark another seeing to and chucks in a bit of Tolkienesque monster whimsy, just in case a wrathful god, his devoted servant and a lot of water doesn't quite hold you for the 2 plus hours running time. Some great and suitably epic special effects don't really save this from being a humourless, poorly scripted and weirdly cast trudge.

Cecil B DeMille's monster epic is one of the most expensive films ever made and it shows. The rambling script can wear a bit thin in places, but the awesome crowd scenes, the all star cast and meticulous attention to detail make the story of Moses's life a truly spectacular cinematic experience. find out more...
