Based on the legend of the Bell witch, An American Haunting tells the story of the Bell family who claimed to be tormented by an unseen presence through noises, disembodied voices and physical attacks that focused primarily on their youngest daughter. Are the Bells being haunted by a malignant, supernatural force or is the culprit closer to home? Unfortunately, a great cast and atmospheric locations do little to lift this film above the hum-drum. find out more...

A remarkable remake of the 1942 classic. Kinski is electric as the virgin sex-kitten/femme fatale who develops serious claws when sexually aroused and is caught between her racial duty to mate with her cat person brother and her more normal desire for a local zoo-keeper. Seductively exotic erotica. Brilliant. find out more...

As she begins to experience terrifying visions and the feeling that she is being followed wherever she goes, she turns to her group of close friends for help. Can they solve the mystery of the deadly curse before its too late? Nowhere near as cliched as that all sounds. "Josephine Decker has created a new style of thriller that employs allegory, incorporates touches of David Lynch as well as Magritte -esque imagery. Decker's setting of a remote farm feels like a metaphor for what turns out to be hell. The raw and emotional (and yes, sometimes funny) dialog tells a story that can seem familiar at points but really is meant to keep you guessing and off balance. I really enjoyed how the undertones of this film came to life through her very deft contrast of the find out more...

Kevin Smith had a podcast where they made a joke about the idea of kidnapping and turning a human into a walrus. It went viral on the twittersphere. Then it became a movie. This movie. Though the whole thing starts out well, with decent doses of good humour and dramatic tension, it all falls very quickly by the wayside. The result is a ridiculous prosthetic walrus suit that envelops Justin Long. Somewhere inside this mess of a movie there's a punchline, if only Smith could get to it without q find out more...
