It's three years since Anne-Marie Chadwick almost came a cropper at the infamous Pipeline, leading to her withdrawal from the pro circuit. Until now, that is! This year's Pipeline contest is only seven days away and she's training harder than ever… Keeping her job as a hotel maid, taking care of her younger sister while her mom is in Vegas with her latest meal ticket, and handling romantic interest from a pro-footballer all prove trying as she keeps up her training for the contest. Relative newcomer Kate Bosworth leads the crew of surfing gals who include Michelle Roderiguez and pro-surfer Sanoe Lake who all deliver incredibly natural performances and surf like there is no tomorrow. The scenery is incredible, the surf footage is pretty mind-blowing and shows some of the most epic tube riding done by women. This film is incredibly watchable, very fun, and certainly not as shallow as the Pipeline reef (har har), unfortunately not enough Roderiguez though. (The DVD has some good extra features.)
