Cliff Starkey is one hell of a lawn bowls player and a rebel with a cause. Shunned by his local club Cliff dreams of playing for his country but it's only when smooth talking agent Rick slips into the picture that Cliff's chances of world bowls domination begin to take form. 'Blackball' is classic British farce with a great stand up comedy cast, scripted by a gimp and directed by his 'join the dots' half brother. Silly, verging on stupid, this rather puerile comedy, given the right kind of chemical stimulus, may well find you grabbing your sides and saying things like "I nearly bust a gut!"
