Ex mobster collector, Chilli Palmer, has become bored of the film industry and decides to move into the music business. Along the way Chilli picks up a young Diva, a beautiful old friend, some Russian gangsters, a local black music kingpin, a white man who thinks he's black and his camp/butch bodyguard. If that doesn't imply confusion then rest assured ‘Be Cool' is as chilled as the sun, as slick as sandpaper and as funny as losing a limb.
