Pedro is a a sexually active homosexual dentist. However when he offers to take care of his nine year old nephew, Bernardo, after the boy's mother travels to India, Pedro endeavours to rein in his more adult behaviour. The two's time together gradually matures into a relationship with genuine love and affection, but the arrival of Bernardo's disapproving grandmother threatens to tear their fragile family apart. Bear Cub is a touching, thoughtful but also unflinching drama from director Miguel Albaladejo.
