In Edwardian England where upper lips are always stiff and men from the Colonies are not entirely to be trusted, Fisk Senior has little time or affection for his frustrated duty bound son. But after the pair attend a lecture by a visiting swami about the transmigration of souls, Fisk Junior finds himself drawn to Dean Spanley's fantastical dinner party stories, and convincing Fisk Senior to entertain the experience may provide the two men with redemption from their loveless existence. 'Dean Spanley' is a delightfully whimsical period drama, beautifully performed and full of warm, gentle, quirky wit.
