John Grogan has a cunning plan to keep his wife's mind off the idea of having babies: get her an adorable puppy dog instead. Having named the destructive, but very cute, bundle of fur Marley, our blissfully happy, aesthetically pleasing, upwardly mobile young couple start pumping out kids anyway and, as the golden glow of their idyllic existence becomes increasingly tarnished by the day to day grind of family life only Marley remains a constant positive. What's to say of 'Marley and Me'? Not really a comedy, not really a romance, not a very good drama… err, yup, that's it.
