City kid Ren MacCormack moves to a small town where rock 'n' roll and dancing have been banned, and his rebellious spirit shakes up the populace.
By all reckoning, this remake of an 80s classic should be a catastrophe. It isn't. Much of the credit for that little miracle goes to Dennis Quaid and Kenny Wormald. I'm not saying it's 'good'. Just that it's better than you'd imagine Footloose without the Bacon could be.
