Justin Timberlake is a factory worker from the ghetto, AmandaSeyfried is a rich girl, thrown together when Timberlake is given over 100years by a man he saves from a gang (the ‘minutemen’). What follows is partconspiracy thriller, part chase movie. This isn’t as fun as it should be, as itsuffers from a rather overcomplicated premise, which sounds more interestingand significant than it is, and a lack of things for Timberlake and Seyfried todo other than run around looking beautiful. Seyfried suffers particularly, thefilm content to keep her as a pretty doll and not much more. Despite theirindividual charisma, they have limited chemistry or emotional depth ofcharacter, and as a result the film is playing at the shallow end of dystopiansci-fi."
