Scott says: "An unashamedly talky film about politics and, in particular, the many dirty tricks politicians and their staff use while they’re on the campaign trail, this feels almost like Aaron Sorkin and the cast of the West Wing should get a credit at the end of the movie. Legal wrangles, double crosses and dirty tricks abound, though there’s still something a little off about the Ides of March. Like Clooney’s previous film ‘Good Night and Good Luck’, this has been made with the best of intentions, but the film just falls a little flat at times, proving that even George Clooney and Ryan Gosling can’t make politics sexy."
