Professional stripper Mike is living the life, plenty of girls, easy money and time on his hands. It is only when he takes a young dancer, ‘Kid’, under his wing that he begins to question the hollow idyll of his world. Magic Mike is a half descent drama, though I suspect its target demographic is going to be looking forward to the copious amounts of buffed, plucked and oiled six packs writhing around in faux fireman’s outfits....did I make that sound bitter?
