A brilliant New York forensics expert (Washington) is severely paralysed while in the line of duty, bed ridden and frustrated with life he is given new focus when the police ask him to investigate a particularly gruesome series of murders. An initially reluctant policewoman (Jolie) is roped in to be his ears, eyes, legs, arms etc etc. Together they must find the killer before he strikes again. The Bone Collector is a slick, pacey thriller; a tad implausible, a whee bit unoriginal but good undemanding entertainment.
