Gynaecologist Dr. Sullivan Travis (Richard Gere) has his hands full with the women of Dallas - if they're not patients who NEED to see Dr. T or his frisky assistant, they're the crazy women in his family. The Travis women include his 'confused' but engaged daughter (Kate Hudson) and her darker, JFK-obsessed sister (Tara Reid), not to mention his certifiable wife played by the flighty Farrah Fawcett. Laura Dern rounds out the group playing his sister-in-law who has her handsful with her own children and her own alcohol problem. When the local country club hires a new tennis pro (Helen Hunt) Dr. T starts to take inventory of his life. Gere is charming as the man who knows woman and who every woman wants to know, but can he keep his head on as his wife files for divorce, he falls in love and his daughter is on the verge of getting married in the middle of a thunder storm? With lots of interesting characters and a rather...ahem...unconventional ending, Dr. T has more to offer than you might expect.
