A morally ambivalent tale of two policemen involved in various battles; for the top job, to put an end to a violent gang, to protect their snitches and, we are led to believe, in the past over a woman. Both policemen bend the laws beyond the limits of decency to achieve their ends in this dark and gun-slinging thriller set against the backdrop of a neon-lit Paris underworld. find out more...

On a mild and bright February morning in 1997, Los Angeles was gripped by the events unfolding live on their Tv screens. Pulling the strings is a criminal mastermind who seems to kill without warning or reason. "Chaos" is a super twisty thriller and, though I eventually lost my grip on the plot, as an action movie it works pretty well. find out more...

Michael Mann's late '80's prototype for his Pacino/De Niro blockbuster "Heat". Plotwise, it's a cops 'n' robbers game of cat and mouse, during which the division between good guy and villain becomes worryingly blurred. Lacks the polish of the Hollywood version, but still well worth a look. find out more...

Benjy Taylor is a rookie cop who goes undercover to nab a gang of car thieves led by Ted Varrick. Taylor becomes too involved and starts to enjoy the thrill and lifestyle of the car thieves, and falls in love with Varrick's sister Ann.
If it sounds similar to Fast and Furious movies, it's because it's the prototype for em! A super-slick 80s thriller.
