John Blake Wentworth (Justin Ray) works at the Dandy Donuts with Michelle (Kayla Compton). Due to circumstances the donuts at the establishment become animated, grow teeth and start killing. This is typically a film that I love. It created great characters. Unfortunately they didn't know how to use the characters or give them great dialogue. The donuts made noises resembling that of tomatoes when they attack. Michelle did a near Snuffles the Quick Draw dog when she a find out more...

CRITTERS (1986)

Certification15 Our Rating

A massive ball of furry creatures from another world eat their way through a small mid-western town followed by intergalactic bounty hunters opposed only by militant townspeople. Displaying a deft talent at balancing thrills with tongue-in-cheek wit, this was Stephen Herek's debut film. He followed it up with the bodacious 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure' and 'Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead'. A superior creature feature, that may have you tucking your feet onto the sofa out of harms way. find out more...

HOTEL (2001)

Promising ‘torture', ‘pain' and ‘perversion' Hotel is a vampire cannibal thriller from Mike Figgis and an all-star cast. Not the best use of talent from the likes of Ifans, Hayek and Burrows, Figgis sets this thriller in a hotel that is taken over by a film crew set to film a version of the Duchess of Malfi. Eventually it becomes clear that the crew and guests are not in charge in this hotel however and as the night comes the vampires and cannibals among the staff begin to take over. A 'Leatherface' type murderer who wears other people's faces, kills at an all-night horror-thon at an old theatre put on by a bunch of film students. Maggie, the lead character, believes it's really Lanyard Gates, a crazed film maker who killed his family live on stage fifteen years ago. And now he's back to kill his daughter, Sara, who is believed to really be Maggie.

Superlative horror that blends great diy special effects, cinephilia and frights with aplomb. AN find out more...

RAVENOUS (1998)

A gothic, psychological horror from "Face" director Antonia Bird. It's the mid-19th Century and accidental war hero John Boyd is assigned to a remote "fort" in the rugged Sierra Nevada mountains. There, he and seven others, all bored out of their minds, proceed to live in squalor like barbarians. Things liven up considerably with the arrival of a half-dead Scotsman, (Robert Carlyle, looking spookily like Charles Manson), who has a chilling tale to tell. He and his travelling companions, he recou find out more...

Mad scientist Professor Gangreen is cooking up the second coming of the Great Tomato Uprising, in which music converted tomatoes into human form to war against mankind. Pizza delivery man Chad Finletter must save the world and beautiful tomato-girl Tara. Considered as a cult classic. Clooney clearly likes to play the clown, and he's not just the only interesting actor in the movie! Very watchable trash. find out more...
