In 1959, Truman Capote, a popular writer for The New Yorker, learns about the horrific and senseless murder of a family of four in Halcomb, Kansas. 1969; not very successful interior designer Eliot returns from Greenwich Village to help out his struggling parents with their failing motel in upstate New York. Hearing about the cancellation of a nearby hippie festival he thinks he can drum up some business by offering them a location... and the rest is history!
There is not much music in this comic glowing tribute to the flower power era, more a starry-eyed mosaic of characters drifting in and out of focus.
