Batman is back! Only this time he has to outwit Mr Freeze and not be seduced by Poison Ivy, beautifully overacted by Uma Thurman. For some reason, Batman requires assistance from Batgirl and Robin, but they seemed a bit useless to me. This is a dull film despite big effects and showbiz names. find out more...

Bigger and more action packed than the first of the modern Batman interpretations, but with less character exploration and with a somewhat simplistic plot. If you're after big stars in silly costumes, a great Gothic backdrop and FX then this is your movie, but if you want something more it's disappointing compared to some of its successors.
