The children's teatime cartoon comedy makes it to the big screen. Inspector Gadget comes in the form of Matthew Broderick, while the outrageously camp (oh..and evil) Dr Claw is played by Rupert Everett. There are some impressive special effects and how Inspector Gadget became inspector "Gadget" is fully explained. Bar that, it's just your old terribly good guy versus your terribly naughty guy scenario. Great fun for the kids, prehaps a tad soporific for the parents...at least the little darlings find out more...

Will Stronghold is just your average teenage kid, unfortunately his mum and dad are Commander and Jetstream, the world's greatest superheroes. There's hardly anything I would improve about this film. The visuals, concepts, soundtrack, characters, pace, humour and animation are all some of the best I've ever seen in any film; I was worried the hype would ruin it for me, as it always does, but not even the group of kids in the theatre who wouldn't stop loudly talking could ruin it for me.
