Mr Elastic Fantastic and Invisible Woman are about to get hitched when the super shiny Silver Surfer hoves into view and sets about preparing earth for its imminent consumption by a dark and unstoppable force. Very much in the same vein as the first film ‘The Rise Of The Silver Surfer' is like a big budget live action version of kiddies tea time TV serials; tongue in cheek humour, lots of crash, bang, wallop and no inner turmoil or angst to speak of. Inspector Gadget comes in the form of Matthew Broderick, while the outrageously camp (oh..and evil) Dr Claw is played by Rupert Everett. There are some impressive special effects and how Inspector Gadget became inspector "Gadget" is fully explained. Bar that, it's just your old terribly good guy versus your terribly naughty guy scenario.
