Set in South London at the start of the '80s, a time when reggae music was at its peak and racism was rife, we follow Blue, the lead singer for Ital Lion Sound, in the run-up to a Sound System competition. Over the course of the story we see Blue clash, not only with the police and racists, but also family and friends as his anger and frustration finally becomes too much to suppress. A powerful and gritty drama with, as you'd expect, a blinding soundtrack.

It's 2010 and a wall has been built around Paris's most criminally inclined neighbourhood, a prison of sorts but run by the inmates, all of whom answer to the lord of it all, Taha. Written by the always controversial Quentin Tarantino, this is romance with a big difference. Teenage hooker Alabama marries shy guy Clarence and pretty soon the happy couple are on the run from just about everyone. Fast, brutal in places, with a heavy dose of dark humour. Not to be missed.
