Another in a string of interconnected characters/plot flicks that have been coming from the Art House genre, this one is actually quite good. To try and explain the plot would be futile and too revelatory but I will say that our cast of characters includes a committed gay boyfriend played wonderfully by Steve Coogan(!), a singer-seductress scene stealer part from Maggie Gyllenhaal and a very sweet, cash-for-brains father played by Tom Arnold. As well as Lisa Kudrow who serves a hub of sorts for find out more...

Terrific, tragi-comic tale of obsession, culture-clash and unrequited love, based on Gilbert Adair's cult novel. Giles De'ath (a wonderfully fragile-looking John Hurt) is a reclusive English novellist living in a cultural time-warp, until he accidentally views a cheap college-caper movie featuring bit-part actor Ronnie Bostock (Jason "90210" Priestly) and is instantly smitten. Fast-forwarded into the 20th Century by this uncharacteristic obsession, De'ath discovers the joys of video rental and h find out more...

The plot plays a supporting role in what is, in many ways, a beautifully disguised self-help documentary. Sex therapist Sofia (played by Canadian radio star, Sook-Yin Lee) has frequent, athletic (yet frustratingly unfulfilling) intercourse with her boyfriend. Her seeming ina find out more...

When Sean McGinnis innocently gets the Citizen Cum video in his Citizen Kane video box he has no idea that it will change his life. He goes in search of porn star Johnny Rebel and ends up working for Men of Janus film company. As a camera man he's adequate but his real expertise comes as being Johnny Rebel's '"fluffer". Confused by his job, Johnny and Johnny's girlfriend, Sean tries to figure himself out but gets in too deep (no pun intended). This is not a porn flick, it's a flick about por find out more...

Long the bane of American filmmakers the Motion Picture Association of America, the body that rates film content, is the target of this spot-on investigative documentary. The big questions raised are: 1) WHO are the anonymous 'raters', the so-called arbitors of American morality, and 2) why is there a distinct difference between how studio films are censored and how indie flicks are? Through interviews with indie directors such as John Waters, Kimberly Pierce, Atom Egoyan and Kevin Smith, we get find out more...
