For most intelligent people the idea of going away with a group of work colleagues on a team-building weekend is horror enough, but for the hapless employees of Palisade Defence they have more to contend with than just the usual soul-sucking turgidity of paint-balling and raft building. From the director of 'Creep', 'Severance' is a comedy horror with likeable characters (apart from the nasties), a good script and plenty of the red stuff, and, while it ain't no Shaun of the Dead (not romantic en find out more...

Local rumours point to an army experiment gone awry at a nearby top-secret base, but as the locals break off into increasingly murderous factions the ravenous monsters are in danger of taking a back seat to the carnage. Mist is a superior adaptation of a Stephen King horror thanks in large part to find out more...

TUSK (2014)

Kevin Smith had a podcast where they made a joke about the idea of kidnapping and turning a human into a walrus. It went viral on the twittersphere. Then it became a movie. This movie. Though the whole thing starts out well, with decent doses of good humour and dramatic tension, it all falls very quickly by the wayside. The result is a ridiculous prosthetic walrus suit that envelops Justin Long. Somewhere inside this mess of a movie there's a punchline, if only Smith could get to it without q find out more...
