Ning Tsai-Shen, a humble travelling tax collector, arrives in a small town, but, the inns all being full, he ends up spending the night in the haunted Lan Ro temple. Excellent, tense, paranoid, creepy thriller that shows what you can with a small budget. The two leads have great chemistry and their performances are key to the success of the film, as it is all about the changing dynamic of their relationship.
