THE IRON LADIES (2001)
Certification15 Our Rating
Improbably based round the true story of how a group of khatueys, effiminate men, came to represent the province of Lampang at volleyball and how, despite official disapproval, they proceeded to win the national inter-provincial championship. Hilariously funny, for once high camp isn't annoying, the quarrelling/making up, made up lads(?), despite broken fingernails and personal trauma, emerge triumphant. This film never has a bad moment and will leave you up-lifted.
