A pretty exhaustive documentary that looks back at what some have described as "the artistic crime of the century": tightrope walker Philippe Petit's death defying, utterly illegal, high-wire routine performed between New York City's World Trade Centre's twin towers in 1974. A fascinating and gripping look at a meticulously planned and breathtaking act of defiance.

An Oscar winning documentary that works as well as any big-screen drama. During the 1972 Munich Olympics a militant Palestinean group entered the athletes' village and took 11 Israeli athletes hostages. What followed was a catalogue of errors that, if the event had not ended so tragically, makes this one of the finest black comedies ever made. The Keystone cop mentality of the Munich police has to be seen and heard to be believed - truth is stranger than fiction. A must watch.

Starting with the murder in an Afghan prison of an innocent taxi-driver by American soldiers, this brilliant documentary outlines the lines of command from Cheney and Rumsfeld down to those on the front line. We learn about the techniques of torture and who authorised which methods. We hear about some of the history of CIA torture methods, the irrelevance of torture to extracting information and its use as a weapon of terror and political posturing by those in power in Washington.
