THE ROAD HOME (1999)
CertificationU Our Rating
The death of his father brings Luo back to his home village where his mother, much to the consternation of the mayor, is insisting upon a traditional burial. His mother's determination causes Luo to recall the stories he heard as a child about his parents' remarkable courtship and through flashback we return to the time of their youth. The Road Home is a visually ravishing story of love and partnership. A Berlin Special Jury Prize-winner.
