Bohemian junkie poet Dan falls in love with gorgeous, but emotionally scewed up, art student Candy, whom he turns on to heroin. With sympathetic performances from all concerned 'Candy' is an interesting observation of drug addiction and the blurring of emotional perception that it can bring. Don't be turned off, the tone of the movie is not as bleak as the storyline suggests.
