In 'Defendor', the release of which was overshadowed by that of the flashier 'Kick Ass', our superhero is somewhat short of a six-pack, but aided by a cute female sidekick, he finds a focus in taking down the local criminal kingpin.
The film's strength lies in its low key approach, remembering never to sell out its emotional content at the expense of a couple of laughs. There is comedy here, it's just that it's tinged with more than your average dose of melancholy. find out more...
