A cure for cancer has morphed into a deadly airborne virus and those it doesn't kill it turns into blood thirsty cannibalistic mutants. Virologist Robert Neville is stranded alone in New York with these neighbours from hell, immune to the virus and desperately searching for a cure that will make them less inclined to take a bite out of his arse. In 2095 a huge pyramid floats above the city of New York. Inside it the Egyptian god Horus is informed he has just seven days on earth before his destruction. Horus' one mission is to find and mate with Bioskop, a beautiful woman only beginning to understand her immense powers. You didn't think they could make dinosaurs boring, did you? Nope, neither did we. But they did. Really boring. A Hollywood first from the director of Mexican cult chiller "Cronos". When New York's children are threatened by a polio-like epidemic, Mira Sorvino and fellow bug scientist Jeremy Northam save the day by altering the DNA structure of the disease's carrier - the cockroach. Three years later, it appears that their genetic tampering has had catastrophic results, with new and improved turbo-roaches lurking in the tunnels beneath the city, mimicking and preying upon their human predators. MIMIC 2 (2002)

A few years ago a genetically engineered bug was introduced to prevent a plague, all went well until the little blighter became a very big blighter and decided to start feeding on humans. The heroine of the last movie thought she'd dealt with the problem but here they are again.....and they've evolved! Mimic 2 is an entertaining slab of 'B' movie action/horror/monster schlock. It ain't good but as long as you know, you may just enjoy it. find out more...
