But, as science would have it, every action has its equal and opposite reaction. Soon the 'jumps' become a desperate attempt to rewrite the rewrite. G find out more...

Based on Margaret Atwood’s award-winning, best-selling novel, The Handmaid’s Tale is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Facing environmental disasters and a plunging birthrate, Gilead is ruled by a twisted fundamentalism in its militarized “return to traditional values.” As one of the few remaining fertile women, Offred (Elisabeth Moss) is a Handmaid in the Commander’s household, belonging t find out more...

Scott Donaldson says: "A team of scientists have come upon something extraordinary in the Arctic. They’ve found something under the ice, and it wants out. Quickly plunged into the depths of paranoia and distrust, they must find a way to work together if they are to stay alive, even if it does mean pointing flamethrowers at each other most of the time. Milla Jovovich is a super human assassin at war with a human world that doesn't take kindly to her sort. Sent on a mission to protect a young boy it's not long before we find out just how superior she is. Though 'Ultra Violet' is at the lower end of the budget scale there are still some pretty stylish action set pieces. OK so the plot leaves something to be desired and every time someone opens their mouth it all gets a bit hammy, but as a CGI fight and chase flick it pretty much fulfils its remi find out more...
X MEN (2000)

Certification12 Our Rating

Taken from the Marvel comic characters this huge budgeted live action extravaganza focuses on the formulation of the X-Men; a group of young earth mutants with extraordinary powers who are moulded into a force for good by professor Xavier and their first life and death battle, to protect a world that fears them, against a psychotic fellow mutant, Magneto. 'X-Men' as you might expect has impressive special effects; ridiculous certainly, but if that's an issue, you've completely missed the point. find out more...
X-MEN 2 (2002)

A genetic scientist is bent on revenge against the mutants, and with a powerful serum he is capable of manipulating mutant against mutant in a battle that will destroy them all. X-Men 2 is a an epic si-fi drama that builds successfully on the first movie; or an overwrought tale with a script that utilises 'Oh my god it's going to explode!!!!' when 'I think we should leave now' would have sufficed, and which manages to turn remarkable beings into cheesy stereotypes... oh alright it's an intellige find out more...

A "cure" is found for the mutants' super human powers, an opportunity to give up their "curse" and become normal members of society. Unsurprisingly Magneto and his gang are pretty unimpressed by the offer and, after a tragic clash with the X-Men, a war between mutant and man for control of the planet seems inevitable. The last in the trilogy, 'X-Men 3' is a blemishless CGI extravaganza, never more than five minutes passing between each beautifully rendered action set piece; that the script and, find out more...
