In collusion with Lieutenant Jim Gordon and newly appointed (butter wouldn't melt) DA Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising anarchistic mastermind known to the terrified citizens and criminals of Gotham City as 'The Joker'. The second part of Chris Nolan's helming of the 'Bat' bloke franchise is even more accom find out more...

X MEN (2000)

Taken from the Marvel comic characters this huge budgeted live action extravaganza focuses on the formulation of the X-Men; a group of young earth mutants with extraordinary powers who are moulded into a force for good by professor Xavier and their first life and death battle, to protect a world that fears them, against a psychotic fellow mutant, Magneto. 'X-Men' as you might expect has impressive special effects; ridiculous certainly, but if that's an issue, you've completely missed the point. find out more...

A "cure" is found for the mutants' super human powers, an opportunity to give up their "curse" and become normal members of society. Unsurprisingly Magneto and his gang are pretty unimpressed by the offer and, after a tragic clash with the X-Men, a war between mutant and man for control of the planet seems inevitable. The last in the trilogy, 'X-Men 3' is a blemishless CGI extravaganza, never more than five minutes passing between each beautifully rendered action set piece; that the script and, find out more...
