By now most of us probably think we've seen and heard enough about the events of the 11th September 2001, it has rarely been out of the news and many of us watched the tragedy unfold live on our television screens. That said, this documentary is unique in it's access to the attack on the World Trade Centres. A superb performance by Franco (and a cracking soundtrack) help pull this minimalist film through; tight find out more...

Ridley Scott directed epic that gives the definitive version of the Columbus story. The lush scenery, superb casting and top-notch direction don't quite make up for it being overlong, but on the whole Scott (and Depardieu) have painted a wonderful and absorbing picture. Well worth a watch! find out more...

Factory Records, the Hacienda club, Tony Wilson, Happy Mondays, etc, etc. '24 Hour Party People' is an affectionate and humorous trip through Manchester's monster music scene in the 80s and 90s. The soundtrack as you'd expect is blinding and Steve Coogan's portrayal of Wilson is spooky. A film that stands on it's own as an excellent near tragi-comedy, but within its historical context... it's bloody mad!
