A neat if not strikingly original thriller taken from the Robert Harris novel, finds leftfield historian Fluke Kelso on the trail of a story told to him by a now murdered Russian spy, which could reveal one of the greatest mysteries of the old Soviet Republic. Taisto Kasurinen is a Finnish coal miner whose father has just committed suicide, a misery compounded when he is then framed for a crime he did not commit.
