Two couples, best of friends, soul companions and then Tom decides to leave Beth for another woman. Dinner with Friends is a very good and often perceptive example of the classic, middle class mid life crisis and the attendant soul searching for all those loosely involved. Well worth a watch if you're a fan of the genre.
