Young Patrick Smash has a problem, the most socially prohibitive flatulence that the world has ever seen, but along with his eccentric genius school chum Alan, Patrick is determined to turn his curse into a gift and achieve his dream of becoming an astronaut. Thunderpants is a delightful flight of fancy from the same director as the 'Borrowers' with some cracking physical humour and a script that swings between wit and heart seamlessly. Add to that fine performances from one and all and the only danger is that the kids may not appreciate it as much as you.
