Graham is a Pennsylvanian farmer bringing up his two children with the help of his younger brother after the tragic death of his wife, an event that caused him to loose his faith and leave the church. When a huge crop circle appears in their field, and is then repeated across the world it becomes apparent that we are not alone and that our planetary neighbours may not be coming in peace. Signs is written and directed by M Night Shyamalan the man responsible for 'Unbreakable' and ' The Sixth Sense' so what your looking at is a creepy, implausible drama/thriller with a "twist". I enjoyed it (much to my surprise) but it is a film that relies heavily upon the audience being swept up in the spirit of things and therefore overlooking much that is tenuous...Crop circles, I ask you!
