Starla is the head cheerleader at her Texas high school and one of the most popular girls in town, but when she invites French Foreign Exchange student Genevieve into her small, but perfectly formed, world everything starts to go, well… a bit wrong. First Starla's parents begin to show Genevieve favouritism then her boyfriend and, finally, even her beloved cheerleading team. The foreigner is quite obviously not to be trusted and Starla must resort to some pretty low down and dirty tactics if she's to oust her usurper. 'Slap Her She's French' is not as crass a comedy as the title would suggest, more an amusing, if light, satire that particularly pokes fun at American insularity.
