Adele Hugo, the daughter of the great French poet Victor, went to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to search for Lt Pinson, whom she was madly in love with. Pinson did not answer to her love and made her understand it was hopeless, but Adele was obsessed by him and kept chasing and harassing him. This film about passionnate love and self-destruction, has been written from Adele Hugo's diary and she, like dad, had a gift for writing. However, she wrote in code, creating a secret diary.
