When a couple loose their eight year old boy in car accident they are bereft, but when DR Richard Wells offers them the opportunity to have their child back using a revolutionary form of cloning they believe God really has given them a second chance. Sadly for all concerned this turns out to be a terrible error of judgement, somehow, somewhere, evil has entered the equation. Godsend is a horror thriller of the "ooh look, they took that bit from that film, this bit from this one and gee, they just managed to stick it all together" variety. Slickly packaged but hackneyed.
