Tormented by his love for MJ, riddled with guilt and unable to keep on top of his studies Peter Parker decides to make the momentous decision to give up being Spiderman, and what do you know, life begins to take a distinct turn for the better. Sadly for our two legged arachnid he is once again forced to face up to his spideryness, plunging back into his role and smack bang up against Doc Ock, a brilliant scientist driven insane by grief and the malevolent artificial intelligence of the metal tentacles attached to his spine. Half action and half melodrama, Spiderman 2 is a visually stunning (if CGI heavy) super hero flick, and who can't like the idea of a gifted but geeky loser as the saviour of a city.
