The recently orphaned Baudelaire children find themselves taken in by a distant relative, Count Olaf, but the devilish Count is not paternally inclined, what he's after is the enormous fortune of the darling wee bairns. Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events is a truly ravishing family film; ingenious, beautifully visualised and just the right side of fantastically odd, a rare treat regardless of your age.
