A biopic about the life of Patsy Cline, the Country and Western singer famous for the song "Sweet Dreams", an ordinary housewife who never dreamed that her talent could bring her fame, and who was tragically killed in a plane crash. Lange plays the singer without a hint of condescension to her dreams of 'a big house with yellow roses'. The film concentrates on her marriage to a prick, the aptly named Charlie Dick (Harris superbly menacing with an inventive foul mouth). Excellent, superior soap that'll have you palenecks sobbing into your beer.
