Billionaire moguls, alchymists and the Knights Templar are all at it again trying to uncover the secrets of the universe. This time the prize is the Loculus, a box that has been feted for hundreds of years as holding evidence of one of the greatest mysteries of all time (yes, one of those). With the help of a beautiful sorceress and his father's cult of truth-seeking scientists, Jake Martel (James D'Arcy) has to destroy the Loculus before it falls into the hands of the sinister Grand Master (Udo Kier) and the whole of mankind is laid to waste. A great recipe for an exciting thriller but while it satisfies the conspiracy theorist in us all it takes itself pretty seriously with a convoluted and dry plot that could have benefited from an injection of fun.
