A 10-year-old girl, abandoned by her mother when she was three, moves, with her preacherman father, to a small town in Florida, where she adopts a stray dog. With goofy pooch by her side, she meets an eclectic bunch of townspeople and rekindles the almost lost relationship with her father. A very sweet, slightly gooey tale about a young girl, her dog and the adventures they have.
