On the morning of September 11th 2001 United Flight 93 set off from Newark airport; not long after two passenger jets were flown into the World Trade Center in New York and, as the news reached those on board, it became clear that they also were at the mercy of terrorists. For the passengers and crew it must have seemed death was inevitable, their only choice simply how they wished to die. Flight 93 is a surprisingly worthy attempt to dramatise the fateful events, it plays neither as a rant against those responsible or attempts to unrealistically deify those who chose to make a stand and, though it occasionally shows its TV credentials, this is, in its own way, a brave and informative film.
