Down in deepest Georgia sullen widower John lives, with his hard working much put upon teenage son Chris and sickly little 'un Tim, on an isolated pig farm. Into this threesome strolls headstrong brother/uncle/father(?) Deel and it's not long before this 'Night of the Hunter' style psycho is after both the dosh and the kids, forcing them to flee for their lives, interminably pursued by Deel, across the countryside, finding shelter, where they can, amongst the good-hearted poor folk who litter the rural landscape. 'Undertow' is an interesting atmospheric thriller.
