Review
A somewhat cliched period drama set in 1930s Shanghai. Russian refugee Sofia works as a 'hostess' in a nightclub, where she develops an odd relationship with an ageing blind American diplomat, and together they open a new club. Unfortunately the chemistry between them is poor and the movie somewhat lifeless.
